Choosing what to wear in your senior photos shouldn’t be stressful but between college applications, a social life to keep up with, and unpredictable weather it isn’t an easy task. Here are the three types of outfits you should aim for to help you plan.
Three Types Of Outfits To Wear For Your Senior Portraits:
1.Timeless – Your senior photos are going to last a LONG time. They’ll end up in your yearbook forever, on the walls of your parent’s home for years, and probably floating on social media for the rest of eternity. Make sure you choose one outfit that won’t make you embarrassed in 10 years. Aim for classic pieces and a casual vibe. Utilize neutral colors as well. This will ensure that a color that is trendy right now won’t date your photos when fashion changes. Some examples neutral colored cardigans, white tees, and un-ripped blue jeans.
2.Trendy – I know we just talked about how classic pieces will stand the test of time, but incorporating today’s current fashion is important too! Someday you’ll want to show your kids what was cool back when you were in high school. Current trends can include off the shoulder tops, rompers, and overalls. Whatever fits your style!

3.Personal – You definitely want at least one outfit that will make you feel your absolute best! Your senior photo session is a time for you to shine and rocking something that you’re comfortable in will help your confidence come across in your photos. Do you love how your eyes look in a certain color? Are you known for always wearing stripes or a leather jacket? Whatever best suits your personality best! If your friends are likely to send you a picture of every leopard article of clothing they come across, wear that print to remember your signature look!
