There are so many beautiful places to shoot it’s difficult to narrow it down when planning your senior photo session. Of course your photographer can give you suggestions but senior photos should be a reflection of you and no one knows you better than, well, you!
Here are some tips to help you choose the best location for your senior photography session…
1.Think if there is any place that you feel most at ease. Do you go for a run in nature when you’re feeling stressed out? Or does your ideal day look more like a beach chair in the sand? Wherever you feel most happy is a great place to take your photos!
2. Is there someplace that is really special to you at this time in your life? It could be the coffee shop you crammed for all your exams at, or the parking lot you meet all your friends at after practice. If you spent most of your high school career somewhere, chances are you’re going to miss that place when you leave for your next adventure.
3. What do you want your pictures to show about you? Do you absolutely love shopping? Let’s head to the shopping district. More of an art lover? There’s tons of murals and street art to find! Think of some things you love and where you can find elements of that in your area.
4. Have you already picked an outfit you love? If you’re set on wearing a certain color or style, some locations will work better than others. Your favorite boots will look out of place if you want to have your session at the beach! Pick your location based off of your clothing if it is already picked out, or figure out what to wear after you pick your favorite location.
